Is Country Living for You?

Blog posted On March 18, 2016

We explored city living in an earlier blog post. So now it’s time we dive into country living, its features, and if it’s right for you.

Seclusion – Country living often coincides with the idea of seclusion. Perhaps a better word for this is privacy. Country living tends to steer away from typical neighborhoods and fenced in smaller yards keeping you separated from your neighbors and even the city. With this also comes the separation from the hustle and bustle of the city. No loud nights, bright lights, or crowds.

Location – Generally, living in the country means living a greater distance from the city or even modern conveniences. Keep this in mind when choosing a property in the country. Daily errands, commuting to work, and even having guests over will mean a further drive and more time involved.

Space – One of the perks of country living is the additional space that typically comes with these types of properties. Set back from the roads, more space between neighbors, and more land can create the sense of having your own little spot in this world.

Country living takes a certain kind of person and lifestyle to be so separated from society in general. Do your research, visit the property multiple times, and look carefully at your life and needs before making the decision to move out to the country.
